The CYC is delighted to introduce our new accompanist, Mrs. Pat Hankey. Mrs. Hankey is an experienced accompanist and music educator. She holds a B. S. in music from Winthrop College in Rock Hill, SC, a MM from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, and has pursued graduate studies with Dr. Robert Pace at Colombia University in New York.

In Columbia, SC she assisted Dr. Arpad Darazs with the Columbia Boy Choir. Mrs. Hankey will be teaching the Kodaly method of ear training and music reading to the Children's Chorus and Youth Choir in addition to accompanying the Choirs. As a faculty member at Coastal Carolina University, she formed the Vocal Jazz Ensemble, which toured the state.

Mrs. Hankey has taught K-12 in the public schools in South Carolina, has directed children's choirs and instructed handbell choirs. Mrs. Hankey is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society.

The past twelve years of a 30 year career in private piano instruction have been here in Marietta. Mrs. Hankey is the president of the Greater Marietta Music Teachers Association. We welcome her to our organization.
